My name is Jessica, I am 21, currently in Denver CO and I am a missionary.
In September of 2012 I attended a school through YWAM (Youth with a Mission) and during those 6 months that I was attending the Discipleship Training School I was awakened to the radical love of Jesus. I fell in love with God and Jesus so deeply during my times in the classroom by discovering all the incredible things He has done for us and through us. Can I say it was like meeting the love of my life? Does that freak you out? Sorry, it is true. After diving deep into God and rejoicing in that total immersion, me and a team 8 others girls traveled to Latvia and Moldova in Eastern Europe.
We spent 2 and 1/2 months in this part of the world, and my vision was starting to slowly clear up. I loved absolutely every second of my time there. Waking up early and doing ministry the whole day, pushing myself and seeing or feeling the fruit of that effort through the Holy Spirit. I enjoyed speaking in front of people and praying for as many people as I could. I enjoyed having the blessing to bring Gods glory to these people either through what He was teaching me or directly through prayer.
This is why missions is my passion. I want to go into all the world see people give their lives to Jesus. I also hope to see radical things happen like healings, and see people delivered from addictions, demons, and other sins, and all that crazy stuff. Like something out of one of those documentaries by Darren Wilson.
I want to whole heartedly run after radical adventures with the Lord, no matter what people tell me isn't achievable or isn't even practical. My heart is to see world change. Tangible, continual, substantial change.
So yeah I guess what I am trying to say is I am a person who likes to travel and have adventure.
