CEF Summer Missions!

June 4, 2013

As some of you know, I recently got back from a six month trip with a mission organization attending lectures and going out on mission. God blessed me with amazing people who supported me personally but ultimately were enabling God’s kingdom to come to Eastern Europe. Thank you if you were one of those generous people in my life! I was blessed to receive the full support I needed. While I was attending lectures I found how much I love ministry, outreach, and discipleship! Now that I am back in Colorado I was hoping to find an opportunity to continue in the passions and gifting God is revealing to me.

This is why I write to you currently. I have started a summer internship at an international ministry called Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) and, specifically, their Christian Youth In Action (CYIA) program. CEF focuses on reaching children with the gospel to see the next generation grow up knowing the God who loves them. This summer I will be working behind the scenes to help set up 5-Day Clubs to reach and teach to the children of Denver as well as being involved in equipping the jr. high and high school students who volunteer their summer vacations to serve the Lord, and build relationship as much as I can with them. Isn’t that such an amazing and glorious marriage in ministry? People who do not know Jesus are being reached by young people who are stepping beyond their comfort zone and serving others and God with their summer vacation!

The main ministry of CEF is the 5-Day Club, which is like a Vacation Bible School on the road for neighborhood kids. We meet in parks, apartment buildings, or really anywhere, to encourage anyone to come. Parents don’t need to worry about taking their child to church everyday because we bring the clubs to them! To go alongside with the local club ministry there is a nationwide event called Good New Across America. Each year they take CYIA missionaries from across the country and bring them together in one city and, this year, that city just so happens to be Denver! They do more 5-Day Clubs in order to impact our community in a big way.

To cover this 10-week internship, I will need to raise $1,500. Would you prayerfully consider supporting me? You can make a secure online donation by credit/debit card or PayPal:

But don’t forget the most important form of support: prayer. These weeks can and will be challenging spiritually, physically, and emotionally. If you would like one of my prayer bookmarks, please contact the CEF office. Thank you for supporting and encouraging me on this journey!
